About the Journal

Current Views in Dentistry

Current Views in Dentistry is an independent, not-for-profit, open-access journal devoted to thoughtful, evidence-informed scholarship across dentistry, oral health sciences, dental education, dental technology, clinical practice, public health, and related biomedical fields.

The journal was founded on the belief that scientific progress is driven not only by completed experiments and authoritative reviews, but also by new ideas, critical reflection, conceptual exploration, technical innovation, and the courage to ask questions that cross established boundaries. While traditional scholarly journals have played an essential role in strengthening scientific rigor, their increasingly standardized formats do not always provide sufficient space for emerging perspectives or timely discussion of rapidly evolving issues.

Current Views in Dentistry therefore aims to provide a flexible platform for diverse scholarly contributions, including original research, review articles, scoping reviews, opinions, letters, technical breakthroughs, educational reflections, and policy-oriented discussions. The journal welcomes manuscripts that clarify emerging concepts, reinterpret existing knowledge, identify evidence gaps, propose future directions, or critically examine scientific, clinical, educational, technological, professional, and policy developments in dentistry.

Editorial Standards

The journal is committed to intellectual integrity, evidence-based reasoning, and responsible scientific communication. It encourages imagination and constructive challenge, but does not publish unsupported speculation. Every accepted manuscript must be grounded in sound reasoning, appropriate evidence, and clear scholarly purpose.

Open Access Commitment

As an open-access journal, Current Views in Dentistry also seeks to reduce financial barriers for both readers and authors. Open access should serve science and the scholarly community, not impose excessive costs on researchers. The journal will therefore strive to operate without article processing charges whenever possible, or to keep such charges minimal when unavoidable, supported by ethical funding, donations, institutional support, and other responsible sources.

Current Views in Dentistry seeks to be a home for rigorous ideas, responsible imagination, and constructive dialogue across the full spectrum of dentistry and oral health sciences.
